Mazari Al-Nubani – مزارع النوباني

from $45.00

A village in the hills of Ramallah

Perched among terraced hills north of Ramallah, Mazari Al-Nubani is a village whose name—“the farms of the Nubanis”—speaks to centuries of rootedness and cultivation. Ottoman-era records note its existence as far back as the 16th century, and its soil has long nurtured groves of figs, olives, and almonds under the Mediterranean sun.

This photo, taken at dusk in 2021, shows the village bathed in warm light beneath a sky streaked with lavender and rose. A slender minaret watches over the clustered homes, as day gives way to quiet. In the stillness, the hills seem to hold their breath, carrying the scent of evening and memory. For me, it carries the image of my grandmother sitting on her balcony, watching the sunset with the kind of knowing only this land can hold.

The palette—sun-dried earth, olive green, soft lavender, and warm stone—echoes the texture of a place where history is lived and felt, not only remembered.

🖼️ Details:
• High-resolution photographic print
• Features both English and Arabic text
• Geographic coordinates of Mazari Al-Nubani included
• Printed on coated paper with semi-glossy, smooth surface
• Available sizes: 12×16 in
• Carefully packaged for safe shipping

🎨 A color palette strip is featured at the bottom—pulled directly from the mural—making this piece perfect for lovers of thoughtful design, heritage, and Palestine’s vibrant visual culture.
