Artist Statement

In this work, I explore the duality of emotional intensity—where beauty and suffering intertwine. Drawing inspiration from volcanic imagery, I use vibrant reds and oranges to evoke the raw power of flames and molten flow, creating visual tension between emergence and containment.

The painting captures moments where intense feelings like sadness and suffocation exist alongside sublime beauty. Dark elements press against luminous areas, representing the constant push and pull of emotional states. The flowing black lines serve as pathways through this emotional landscape, guiding the viewer through territories where words often fail.

Through layers of color and texture, I've sought to create a visual language for experiences that exist beyond verbal expression—where primal energy transforms into something both challenging and beautiful. This piece invites viewers to connect with their own emotional depths while finding meaning in the abstract forms that emerge from within.
