Evenings of Art: Maroun Tomb and The Lost Paintings Exhibition

Step into historical Palestine through Maroun Tomb: the Palestinian-Lebanese artist whose 1947 exhibition in Haifa was lost due to the Nakba, and whose legacy lives on through the exhibition project The Lost Paintings: A Prelude to Return.

In this guided painting evening at the The Lost Paintings exhibition space, we’ll draw inspiration from Tomb’s themes: memory, displacement, landscape, architecture, and the imaginative act of recreation — and invite you to create your own painting in his spirit: exploring what was lost and what can be imagined.

Whether you are an experienced painter or brand-new to the process, come prepared to slow down, reflect, create, and connect.

What to Expect:

  • A short introduction to Maroun Tomb’s life, art and the story of The Lost Paintings project.

  • Guided prompts to begin your own painting inspired by Maroun Tomb's style and themes.

  • Refreshments and a warm, communal atmosphere for creative exchange surrounded by artwork.

  • A thoughtfully curated playlist to help set a reflective, creative mood.

  • Time to share, chat, and view one another’s work in a supportive environment.

By the end of the evening you’ll leave with your own original painting — and perhaps a deeper connection to art as memory, reclamation, and imaginative possibility.

Good to Know:

  • All supplies are provided — just bring yourself and your ideas.

  • No prior painting experience required.

  • Tickets include tour of exhibition.

Join us for a meaningful evening of art-building, storytelling, and reclaiming what was lost — but through paint, presence, and imagination, what can still be.

🎟 Secure your ticket now — we can’t wait to paint with you.
